Unable to download an SAP Note with SNOTE in a SAP System.
I encountered an issue when I tried to download a SAP Note using SNOTE in my SAP System.
Error connecting to SAPOSS from a remote location: Unable to translate into a number.
Even if I utilise the Logon Group 'EWA' after implementing SAP Note 766505, the RFC connection SAPOSS is too slow.
Solution
1. Copy the destination SAPOSS: to a new RFC-destination called "SAPSNOTE."
Target System ID: Enter OSS.
Group: Enter 1_PUBLIC.

The SAP Note *** is currently unavailable.

Solution
SAPNet R/3 Frontend does not have a copy of the Note. Because all of the dialogue processes in the [EWA] servers are engaged with the EarlyWatch Alert data transmission from customers' systems into SAPNet R/3 Frontend, SAPNet R/3 Frontend is excessively slow. This is more likely to happen on Mondays and Tuesdays, when we receive the majority of the data packages.
You can connect to the SAPNet R/3 Frontend using an alternative RFC-destination to increase download speed. The following two adjustments are required in order to do so:
1. Copy the destination SAPOSS: to a new RFC-destination called "SAPSNOTE."
Target System ID: Enter OSS.
Group: Enter 1_PUBLIC.
In the new RFC connection, change the following parameters: Page with tabs: Security & Login
Client: Enter 001.
User: Enter OSS_SNOTE.
Password: Enter CPIC.
