You want to install an SAP system based on SAP NetWeaver BW 7.3 incl EHP1 application server on Windows operating system platform using the installation tool software provisioning manager 1.0.
This SAP Note is about Windows SAP HANA database-specific problems discovered after the publication of the installation guides for information related to the installation of the SAP HANA database instance.

11 Jan 2013 Multiple Components on One Database (MCOD)
SAP HANA MCOD is only supported for packaged applications and scenarios
listed on the "White List" included in SAP Note 1661202.
Multiple SAP HANA databases on one appliance "MCOS" are supported
only for non-productive systems (see SAP Note 1681092).
2 Pre-Installation
11 Jun 2013 HANA Client: Multiple SAP Instances with Same SID
Problem
If another SAP instance with the same SAP system ID (SID) is installed on a server, the same path is chosen for the client software: /usr/sap/<SID>/hdbclient
Therefore, you need to make sure that you are installing a sufficiently up-to-date HANA client, as described in the solution below.
Solution
During the installation of the new instance with SWPM, make sure that the version of the HANA client software on the DVD is the same as or higher than the version of the currently installed HANA client software.
To obtain an up-to-date HANA client directly from SAP Service Marketplace, see SAP Note 1825053.
3 Installation
20 Jun 2013 REPOSRC Import Slow: Activating HANA Mass Import
Problem
The REPOSRC import runs slowly.
Solution
Activate the HANA mass import to speed up this process. For more information on how to do this, see section "SAP HANA mass import" in SAP Note 1775293.
16 Apr 2013 ABAP: Checking Timezones
Problem
Before you start the installer, you have to compare the following timezone settings:

10 Jan 2013 Problem Loading LOB Data
Installation on HANA BW 7.30, 7.31 and NW 7.40:
There is a problem when loading LOB data into the rowstore of the HANA database with the massloader interface.
The problem is described in SAP Note 1806935.
For BW 7.30 and 7.31 if you use the Kernel DVDs:
for the installation, the error cannot occur because these DVDs contain the R3load version 317.
For NW 7.40: If you are using DVD 51043501, the error cannot occur also because this DVD contains R3load version 7.38 patch 2.
08 Mar 2012 Copy Current Version of File rowstorelist.txt
Problem
When you reach the SAPinst summary screen, before starting the actual installation, you need to make sure that you have the current version of the file rowstorelist.txt (from the export DVD) in the SAPinst working directory.
Solution
Download the file rowstorelist.txt from SAP Note 1659383 - which always contains the current version of this file in the attachment - and copy it to the SAPinst working directory, replacing the existing version of the file.
You do not need to stop SAPinst for this - simply leave SAPinst waiting at the summary screen while you copy the file.
21 Feb 2012 Large Time Difference Between Servers
Problem
You see the following error message in SAPinst step checkDDIC000Password:
FRF-00007 Unable to open RFC connection.
Failed to open RFC connection
Large time difference between application server a...
Solution
Check the time settings on the application server where the installation is running and on the server running the SAP HANA appliance.
It is important to check the time setting for the user running the installation - the <SAPSID>adm user.
4 Post-Installation
17 May 2013 SAP HANA DB Entry Missing from SAP Mgmt Console
Problem
The entry for the SAP HANA DB is missing from the SAP Management Console.
Solution
See SAP Note 1625203 for information on how to solve this.

16 Apr 2013 ABAP: Checking Timezones
Problem
Before you start the installer, you have to compare the following timezone settings:
- The timezone of the target host for the ABAP application server
- The timezone of the <sid>adm user of the SAP HANA system
Solution
If the systems have different timezones, proceed as follows:
- Change the timezone of the ABAP system (recommended solution)
- If the timezone of the ABAP system cannot be changed, change the timezone of the SAP HANA system.

10 Jan 2013 Problem Loading LOB Data
Installation on HANA BW 7.30, 7.31 and NW 7.40:
There is a problem when loading LOB data into the rowstore of the HANA database with the massloader interface.
The problem is described in SAP Note 1806935.
For BW 7.30 and 7.31 if you use the Kernel DVDs:
- BW 7.30: 51044424
- BW 7.31: 51045125
for the installation, the error cannot occur because these DVDs contain the R3load version 317.
For NW 7.40: If you are using DVD 51043501, the error cannot occur also because this DVD contains R3load version 7.38 patch 2.
08 Mar 2012 Copy Current Version of File rowstorelist.txt
Problem
When you reach the SAPinst summary screen, before starting the actual installation, you need to make sure that you have the current version of the file rowstorelist.txt (from the export DVD) in the SAPinst working directory.
Solution
